Stone Island in collaboration with Fondazione Pitti Discovery under the patronage of the Comune di Firenze Stazione Leopolda, Florence_ On the occasion of Pitti Immagine Uomo no.82
The exhibition recounts 30 years of sportswear-related fashion through fitful research into fabrics and the treatment of finished garments by the brand Stone Island. In 2000 square metres within the Leopolda station, the exhibition is divided into 10 areas dedicated to themes of excellence explored and defined by the brand.

THE BOOK_ ARCHIVIO ’982–’012
The selection of 307 iconic garments, taken from the 20,000 of the 2012 archive, trace the history of Stone Island. A clean narrative through direct, iconic and intentionally didactic images, without a hint of nostalgia.
The garments from the archive a revitalised on 30 modern-day guys to create a gallery of contemporary images, side by side with accurate technical descriptions. The intention behind the collection is to lend historic value to the evolution of Stone Island over its inital 30 years. Art Directors: Simon Foxton and Nicholas Griffiths.
