Fabric research and treatment
DAVID LIGHT-TC WITH MICRO PILE: Fishtail trench coat in a lightweight tela made with Japanese star-shaped cross-section polyester/polyamide yarns with a wadding and polyester micro pile layer inside. The pieces are assembled and then dyed under pressure at 130°C, with the addition of a PFC-free anti-drop agent. During the garment dye process, the heat radically transforms the material’s hand and structure. The resulting garments combine an industrial appearance with a unique feel.

Style

Valet-stand collar with concealed hood; snap fastening. Most of the seams are covered with a herringbone polyester tape. Slanting hand pockets with zipper closure hidden by snap-fastened flap. Elasticized drawstring at waist. Stone Island badge on the left sleeve. Elasticized cuffs. Fishtail bottom hem, with drawstring, with snaps to fold the hem and shorten the piece. Two-way zipper closure, hidden under snap-fastened placket.

The shipping materials for Stoneisland.com were chosen with consideration to both the nature and quantity of materials used as well as the notion of reusability.

The box used for shipping is made from recycled cardboard. The inside is lined with a simple box in lightweight, white cardboard, 40% PCW, from post-consumer waste.

Inside, the garments are packaged in re-usable R-PET fabric bags: R-PET is made from 100% PCW, post-consumer waste recycled PET plastic.
