GARMENT DYED LEATHER EXOSTRIKE BOOT WITH DYNEEMA®: This boot represents the optimal fusion of STONE ISLAND's expertise in garment dyeing techniques with ECCO®'s state-of-the-art leather tanning and shoe making technology.
The leather of the upper is laminated to a light non-woven fabric in Dyneema®, the strongest and most durable lightweight fiber in the world, producing unusually high tensile strength. The upper is completed with a high tenacity nylon canvas and a nylon mesh. The upper and the sole are laid above and under an atomically profiled midsole template. Then, using ECCO'S unique Fluidform® technology, Phorene®, a shock absorbing polyurethane liquid is injected into the template. This liquid, when drying, fuses the leather upper and sole together, creating an integral bond between the upper, the midsole and the sole. This bond, created without any glue or stitching, allows the boots to be finished using STONE ISLAND's high temperature garment dyeing process.
