A NEW COLLABORATIVE RELEASE–
Stone Island and New Balance present the latest evolution of an ongoing collaboration between two different cultures of innovation, united by shared values in material research, functionality, and engagement with subcultural contexts. For the first time since the beginning of this long-term partnership, the collaboration extends into the New Balance Numeric skateboarding line with the Numeric 272, directly informed by the Stone Island Marina sub-collection from Spring_Summer '025. To capture the new design, Tiago Lemos, Justin Henry, and Davide Holzknecht were photographed by Jeremy Elkin and Jake Darwen, with a video by Tylre Wilcox, at the iconic Milano Centrale – a long-standing nerve centre for the city’s skateboarding scene.

This edition of the Numeric 272 introduces a construction unlike anything New Balance has made before, developed specifically for the Stone Island Marina collaboration. The vulcanised shoe features an engineered outsole for enhanced board feel and impact reduction, premium Ortholite insoles, and a non-marking sole designed for grip. The upper combines high-quality suede with a stitch-and-turn poly canvas shroud that splits the shoe horizontally. Referencing the sub-collection from Spring_Summer ‘025, the design includes a custom synthetic tongue, rubberised heel counter with STONE ISLAND MARINA branding, raised stripe detailing, aluminium eyelets, and light-reactive elements, while the white, blue, and yellow colourways reflect the seasonal palette. Each pair is presented in a custom-made box with the Stone Island Marina and NB# logos in colours from the collaboration, which also contains a branded waterproof dry bag and signal whistle.
