Fabric research and treatmentCOTTON NYLON PIQUÉ/ NYLON CANVAS
COMPACT TREATMENT ACTING ON COTTON: The COMPACT treatment derives from the cleaning process of the organic fibers before spinning. Stone Island uses this treatment on the finished garment before undergoing the dyeing process. This shrinks the garment up to 50% of its volume, highly compacting the material and predisposing it to an intense and unique coloring. The expertise of the pattern makers and the know-how of the STONE ISLAND color laboratory makes the design of these garments possible taking into account the high percentage of shrinkage. This STONE ISLAND procedure is absolutely unthinkable in other realities.
